Cobb County Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Plan is Underway
The Cobb County Department of Transportation has begun its Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvement Plan project. It will identify where Cobb County can improve conditions for bicycling and walking and identify a strategy for investing in those improvements over time. Workshops will be held early in 2009.

 Vanpool Policy Changes for 2009
Commuter Club has announced changes to its vanpool program. In preparation for the change, Commuter Club held roundtable discussions in early November to present commuters with in-depth explanations for the upcoming modifications. Thanks to everyone who attended. The suggestions and concerns shared were invaluable.
Effective January 1, 2009, the flat rate for all Commuter Club vanpoolers will be $100/month. Each primary driver has received, or will soon receive, a vanpool policy packet that outlines all changes for 2009. Read more about vanpool policy changes and access supporting documents.

Don't Worry, Be Happy!
Commuter Club would like to congratulate van #24563 on their third year of vanpooling! The group recently held a luncheon to celebrate the anniversary and gave out gifts and certificates of appreciation to vanpoool members. When the vanpool started, it was the 50th Commuter Club vanpool on the road. Freddie Johnson, the van's social coordinator, has saved over $8,000 through vanpooling. Not only does this group share a vanpool, they share a friendship.
