Smog
Season is Here
The spring weather brings
with it the beginning of another, more unpleasant
season: smog season. Like blockbuster movies, smog
season is a staple summer event and runs from May
through September.
Smog, the result of a
chemical reaction when pollutants in the air are
"cooked" by sunlight and heat, can increase risks to
health, the environment and the local economy. Smog days
are now color coded to indicate danger of air quality
levels. Receive
daily smog alerts from the Clean Air Campaign.
Did you know? Ozone levels
peak in the afternoon and evening after being exposed to
the sun all day. And more than half of all smog-forming
pollutants in metro Atlanta come from cars and trucks. Learn
how to reduce your impact on Georgia's air
quality.

Concept
for Regional Transit in Atlanta

world-class transit system? If so, voice your
opinion!
The Transit Planning Board
is seeking public input to Concept 3, a regional
vision to address the current and future needs of
commuters, visitors and others that depend upon public
transportation for mobility and accessibility. Learn
