When Work Works: Promoting the Business Advantages of Workplace Flexibility
ATLANTA, January, 2008 — WellStar Health System in collaboration with Commuter Club and CobbRides, are happy to announce the When Work Works Workplace Flexibility Initiative for 2008.
WellStar Health System has received a grant from When Work Works, a nationwide initiative to highlight the importance of workforce effectiveness and workplace flexibility as strategies to enhance businesses’ competitive advantage in the global economy and yield positive business results. It is designed so both employers and employees can succeed.
When Work Works is a project of Families and Work Institute (FWI) sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in partnership with Institute for a Competitive Workforce, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Twiga Foundation.
As one of only 30 select communities chosen to participate in the national and community based initiative, northwest Atlanta will enjoy the opportunity to learn, grow and be recognized for innovative business practice in workplace flexibility.
Applications are now open for the 2008 Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. This prestigious award recognizes employers in select communities nationwide that are successfully using flexibility to meet both business and employee goals. To see if your organization qualifies, please visit When Work Works for the qualifications and application. Deadline is April 25, 2008.
