Mass transit is a better way.
As an alternative to driving to and from work, mass transportation — riding the bus or taking the train — offers many advantages. And today’s soaring gas prices make the bus and rail systems a better way to get there. Just a few of the benefits:
- flexible schedules
- low cost, and the potential for company subsidized fares
- reduced wear and tear, and maintenance, on your personal vehicle
- the opportunity to get work done during your commute, or read the paper ... or just relax!
- reduced emissions, cleaner airBus and rail systems in the area include Cobb County Transit (CCT), MARTA, Gwinnett County Transit, C-Tran, GRTA Xpress and Future Transit.
- as a bus or train rider, you could win a $25 gift card each month through Commuter Rewards.

Future Transit
The I-75 corridor and the I-285 corridor will have improved transit service in the future. The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority and the Atlanta Regional Commission are currently studying these heavily congested roadways in order to determine solutions to help ease traffic problems.
Both projects are in the study phase at this time. The specific technology (rail, bus, etc.) will be determined along with the travel routes. Local Cumberland leaders are deeply involved in the planning to ensure an integrated solution to the community’s needs.
